Consumer Health Data Notice
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Some US states, such as Washington and Nevada, have laws for health data that is not covered by HIPAA, and Canadian privacy law treats health information as sensitive. The FitFixLife app asks some health questions to build your workout plan. This notice explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to see or delete it. It adds to our Privacy Policy.
What we collect
- Body measurements: height, weight and, if you add them, waist size.
- Vitals you choose to enter: resting heart rate and blood pressure.
- Answers to a short health check (for example heart conditions, chest pain, dizziness, blood pressure medicine, pregnancy, recent surgery).
- Sore joints or old injuries, sleep, stress, fasting, activity level and training experience.
- What you log in the app: food, water, steps and workouts, and how hard each workout felt.
We do not collect diagnoses, test results, precise location or data from health devices. The calculators on fitfixlife.com run in your browser and send nothing to us.
Where it comes from
Only from you, when you answer the questions or log something. We do not buy health data or get it from other companies.
Why we use it
- To build your workout plan and keep it safe, for example a gentler plan when a health answer calls for it.
- To adjust the plan after each workout.
- To show your own progress back to you.
We never use it for advertising, we never sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Your consent
The app asks for your consent before it saves your answers. You can withdraw it at any time: delete your coach answers and plan from the app (Your plan, then “Delete my answers”), or email us.
Who it is shared with
Only service providers that help us run the app, and only for that:
- Hostinger: the server where our app database runs.
- Anthropic: only if you use the Ask FitFix chat. It receives your question, your profile and today's log so it can answer.
We have no affiliates that receive this data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it in the app, ask us to delete it, or close your account.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold health data about you, and give you a copy;
- list the service providers that received it;
- delete it, including copies held by our service providers;
- stop collecting it (withdraw consent).
Email hello@fitfixlife.com with the subject “Health data request”. We answer within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on your account, so we know it is you. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
If we say no, you can appeal: reply to our answer with the word “Appeal” and we will answer within 45 days. If you are still not happy, you can contact your state attorney general, or in Canada the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
